Sometimes I like to make posts about me personally as to what is happenening in my life. However, I was thinking of something that would be funny to find out from all of you. This should hopefully allow for some fun conversation.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Now, I know many of us have several things that drive us crazy...tailgaters, people in the 12 item line with 20 items and so on....but the thing about this is, you can only give ONE!
I have to say, after much thought, my biggest pet peeve is people who don't take down their Christmas decorations. It so crazy to me to see those long dangling lights hanging off the porch in July. What is even worse is when those lights are beside decorations for the Fourth of July. I have seen lawns with decorations for five or six holidays!
So, there is what drives me crazy. What drives you crazy?

This is an easy one for me. Hands down cigarettes. I hate the smell of the smoke, I hate the ashes (especially when they blow onto one of my children), I hate that they litter the street, sidewalk, park and the beach, I hate that when I'm eating dinner somewhere I can literitly taste them if we are sitting close enough to the smoking section. I think everything about them is disgusting.
I think cigarettes are gross too. I am especially bothered by expectant mothers who smoke....ooh that strikes a cord.
The one thing that drives me up a wall is...hearing people eat. Crunching and chewing and drinking. I know, I'm nuts, but it drives me crazy!! LOL!
Oooo that reminds me, how about these people who don't put their young children in car seats! I've seen this 2 times recently. I can't even believe people would risk the lives of their children like this. It's just laziness. That upsets me. Another thing about the cigarettes, if people really knew how much they stink to people who don't smoke, they might try a little harder to quit. It just makes you smell nasty. OK, one more. How about the people who don't know what YIELD means. You know, when you're on the highway and you can't move to the left lane because someone's there and this bonehead driving on the ramp just keeps coming because he/she seems to not know what that upside down triangle with the word YIELD on it means! Arrrgh! That drives me crazy!

Condescending People! I hate that so bad. Don't act like you are superior to me because you are a CEO or some high flutin person. Give me a break. Stay at home moms get a lot of this crap and I am just sick of it. (And I'm not even PMS-in it...hahaha)
It kind of drives me crazy when people refer to me in the third person when they ask me about myself like, "How is Lorrie today?" I don't know why it bothers me - but I'm standing right here and I suddenly feel like there are at least two of me. One standing there and the one we're talking about. Maybe there are even three of me. It doesn't take much to freak me out.
Also, It drives me crazy when people tell me to smile. This is my face, take it or leave it. I'll smile when I want to smile!
OK I have another that has happened several times today so I have to vent. There is an intern here who walks by my cubical and refuses to lift his feet when he walks. It drives me crazy to hear his "clump, clump, clump" when he walks by. I'm thinking, "Look dude what kind of an impression are you making here when you drag your feet everywhere you go." Arghh!!! Show some professionalism.
